It was an incredible experience to host the fourth African edition of the International Summer University on Public Policy organized by International Public Policy Association in Yaoundé and Mbalmayo from 24 to 28 March 2025.
Participants had the opportunity to learn through courses given by two internationally renowned policy specialists, Patrick Hasenteufel and Mireille Manga. They also worked to improve their research projects, which covered various topics related to African policies, politics, policy transfer and ecology.
Participants had the chance to listen to experts who gave specific lectures on key programmes implemented in their interactions with international organisations and national political actors.
We thank the International Association of Public Policy for this opportunity and the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, and in particular the Civil Cabinet of the PRC, for their invaluable support in the implementation of this programme since 2019.
Many thanks to our participants from seven different African countries for their confidence and commitment throughout the week.

This year's opening conference focused on Africa in the context of the ecological transition. He presented the insights of Mr. Armand Claude Abanda, Resident Representative of IAI-Cameroon and UNESCO Chair in Central Africa, as well as contributions by Patrick Hasenteufel and myself on the European and African perspectives on ecological transition.
This fourth edition was a resounding success, acclaimed by all participants. We appreciate the support of the European Union and Jean-Marc Chataigner for contributing to the key debates at the morning conferences by sending us an expert.
