GLOGORENA, an ambitious project!

We aim to:
- Capacity building for young researchers.

- A credible process of producing empirical data on forest and mining governance and public policies.

- the establishment of a sustainable dialogue between the actors in forest and mining governance.

- Partnerships between research actors.

We work with local and international actors (provide photos).

(workshops, seminars and training sessions for researchers, public policy makers and civil society organisations (CSOs).

CSOs

In the medium term, GLOGORENA is active in the creation of continuing training projects and sustainable teaching programmes in partner universities. Learn more about this project!

  • A project to create a sub-regional interuniversity master's degree on transnational governance, sustainability and environmental public policies
  • Strengthening collaboration between IRD via the UMR SENS (University of Montpellier, France) and the University of Yaoundé II via IRIC; IRIC and its other university partners in Cameroon and DRC.  
  • Stimulating cross-cutting collaborations and pooling academic, institutional and financial resources to achieve results towards a safer ecological transition.
  • Various support for local environmental initiatives

In the long term, JEAI GLOGORENA aims to strengthen the university, inter-university, public-private and institutional partnerships and collaborations it has created.
