Chinese Belt and Road Initiative in Africa: Aid Policies and Economic Development

This book provides an overview of the economic partnerships between African governments and China offered by the initiative. « Belt and Road ». It examines the initiative « Belt and Road » a macro and microeconomic perspective to present a detailed understanding of the transformation of African development policies since the beginning of the initiative. Particular attention is paid to the historical context of the initiative « Belt and Road »financing of infrastructure and public services in Africa, the diffusion of technology from China to Africa, China's position in the global political order, African energy markets and the development of special economic zones.
